inch.

As I took in every single moment of your last Singapore gig (for now) with my heart smiling, watching you do the thing you do best—connecting with people with your captivating songs, almost pitch-perfect voice and amazing energy—tears welled up in my eyes with joy, pride and thankfulness. I now type this with a similar state of being:

I don't know how to express how thankful I am to God for bringing you into my life. I cannot seem to forget that scene at Bar None when we first met—this girl tinier than I with a cap pulled over her head and (a bit too dressed down for the venue haha) chirpily saying hi, shaking my with a sincere smile on her lips when we were introduced. Little did I imagine that this awfully talented girl would become one of my best friends, and that I—with not much to offer—would be considered hers.

It's been a good 4 years since, and I've had the privilege of personally watching you grow both as an artiste and as a child of God. Your salvation had always been a burden within me, and I will never forget the day that the Lord answered my prayers. Knowing that you've accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour was one of the happiest moments in my life, and it is no secret, really, that He has great plans for you.

Our friendship has since been further reinforced with E and M to become Echo oh oh oh: The little girl band birthed out of a common love for music but instead became our excuse to hang out with one another rather than just play music... The jamming-steamboat-movie-slumber-stayovers brimming with heartfelt sharings and creative inspiration and prayers and mustachey laughters are possibly the best times I've ever had. That we'd fly down to each other's side upon S.O.S, that we would cry, laugh and pray with one another with no inhibitions... It is surely none other than God's grace and love in our lives that makes this beautiful friendship possible.

Dearest dearest Inch, as you head off to the doors of the US of A, I pray that you will never, never forget God's will and purpose for you. We will be back home being prayer warriors for you. You must also keep praying and reading His Word alright? :)

"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

(Galatians 6:7-10 ESV)

Well, we will be reunited in less than two months. Still too long, but hooray! :)

I LOVE YOU.
