I had the luxury of borrowing the cousin's wheels again last night to send M & J off at the airport cos of the wee morning flight. So this morning, as I drove to school/return the car (cousin lives across the road from school), I got tricked by another car that wanted to do a U-turn at this U-turn junction that had a time prohibit. After realising that it was illegal and seeing the said car almost cause an accident taking the U-turn (and receiving a lot of honks at the same time), I decided to back out (again into heavy traffic). Too late. A taxi had already come up behind me; I had no choice but to complete the U-turn. Believe me, it was extremely scary. Full lock on standby, I cried out to God to give me space on a road filled with cars going at 90km/h. After the longest 10 seconds of my life I finally spotted a glimmer of hope and attempted to poke my way out without veering onto the other lane. A couple of honks and an 16 TP demerit point (causing other vehicles to take evasive action blahblah) maneouvre later, I floored the gas the moment I succeeded the turn and waved my apologies and thanked God I was alive.

I really, really enjoy driving—it's therapeutic—but this time round it's been rather stressful. Yet I thank God for very certainly protecting me on the roads last night and this morning... Seriously no joke. Maybe I'd reconsider getting a set of wheels now.
