Must we always allow ourselves to shrug oh wells and resign ourselves to the ongoing 'system'? Must we always lower our voices because of tradition? Must we always keep our passions to ourselves at the slightest bit of dissonance?

A 60 year old system may simply be waiting for a tiny voice to holler change. A long-standing tradition may not be what today's church needs. A bit of dissonance to a chord may create wonderful overtones that adds colour to an otherwise drab piece of work.

It makes me indignant whenever I hear that we who can effect change have our visions so easily cast aside.

I will always remember what a pastor once said. "If it is right and resounds with the Word of God, do not be afraid to say it." Do not discount the power of the Word.

If it is what God wants us to do, do it wisely—and in love of course. When there are obstacles, pray. And pray. Till something happens.

His will will be done.
