There is probably only one word that can truly sum up my entire life: Grace.

If I held on too tightly to the flaws of this world, if I held on too tightly to the flaws that I see in others, if I held on too tightly to the flaws that have once greatly impacted my life—I'd be a walking wreck.

But the God most High—the One who has created and is in control of all things—is bigger than all these. Shall I henceforth fear to live a life worthy of the calling I have received?

"[37] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. [38] For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:37–39 ESV

Because of His love and because of His grace I've been set free, and I am free indeed: Free to accept the imperfections of my life, and pursue perfection in Christ. Free to accept the imperfections in others, and pursue the sowing of the Gospel in their lives. Free to accept the imperfections of this world, and pursue the wonderful gifts that He has granted to us in this life.

How piteous it is if we are bound by the shackles of our own fleshly fears and finite understandings, and miss out on the greater, more beautiful things that God has in store for us.

O, for future glory to hasten its way.
