I am truly thankful for the eventful week that has just passed. Refused to touch school work (for a good reason this time)—all my deadlines are bottlenecked at the end of the semester—but I feel at peace simply because I have realigned my pace with His. Refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to take on this final stretch! I'm thankful for S who has been a wonderful pillar of strength and perspective provider for the flighty me. I'm so blessed to have such people around me. God is good. +)
I usually don't like to do mundane here's-what-I-did posts, but this is one special week that I'd like to document... So here goes nothing. ^^
Monday: Putting schoolwork away and sleeping early woohoo!
Tuesday: Pretty fun practice session for combined worship (makes me miss jamming all over again!), not touching schoolwork again and spending precious and good time with God at the balcony instead.
Wednesday: Celebrating T's birthday together with J over Korean food, sharing and prayer and Horlicks McFlurry (the new Fat in town)...
Thursday: First time playing for chapel (on drums)—thank God for a great time of worship in song :) It wasn't perfect, but I knew that He was surely guiding us and enabling us to lead the congregation. Hallelujah!
Crashed a class on addiction issues that was given by this amazing lecturer who was such an inspiration that halfway through, I felt like giving him a hug there and then. With all purity intended k.
Couldn't play the usual basketball after because of the thunderstorm, and somehow ended up playing ping pong for the first time in ages (and ending up with a rather achy waist, woe is she who is short). Had much reminiscent fun though I lost most of my games heh :P
Friday: An excellently fun yet reflective YF session and a nice dinner after with the youths.
Saturday: Dear YY's 21st birthday and the honour of saying the birthday prayer for her :)
Sunday: The privilege of being able to provide some pastoral care for some of the girls; a fulfilling sermon from Dr JH who was guest speaker; allowing myself to spend a little bit more on food at Peperoni Pizzeria with the CG to ketchup with JG who was back for holidays, and MJ's birthday surprise at La Salsa with an amazing customised pedalboard cake that dear Inch pre-ordered before she left for US.
