Sovereign Lord, enfold these young ones,
as they nurse the wounds inflicted to them by their own loved ones whom,
themselves, are hurting one another and have been deeply hurt.

We have all sinned and fallen so, so far short of Your glory.

Protect the innocent, Lord God Almighty!
Protect Your children from the darkness of this broken world.

Let them see Your everlasting light and be warmed by it, that they may have hope;
lift them up with Your mighty hand and outstretched arm, that they may experience Your love that endures forever.

That they will have strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, and be spurred to walk this oh so tough journey with Your joy.

Have mercy on us, Father, according to Your unfailing love.
