It is funny how the years seem to get shorter as we grow older. Is it the increasing efficiency around us that sees us doing more and living less? Or as we get weary and jaded by the uncertainty and fickleness of this world, are we living more but doing less?
For me, walking in step with the Lord was what made time pass so quickly—and with great joy and peace. As much as I can't believe I'm hitting the mid-20s this year, I have absolutely enjoyed every moment of what has been my life: The ups and downs, the joy and sadness, the pain and relief, the people that come and go... Knowing that everything I have is a gift, and that my life is in His sovereign hands helps me to hold on loosely to all yet at the same time cherishing all.
This year, my resolve is simple—I aim to delve into the life of Christ and what it truly is to have my identity in Him. Ah, so exciting!
