The Rise of the Slacktivist
Sortable The Rise of the Slacktivist

I definitely spot traits of 'Slacktivistic' Christianity in young Christians of this generation in SG. It is seems to me that because of how busy everyone is, it is so much more convenient to paste a bumper sticker, wear a wristband, retweet, repost pictures and do status updates of our faith. But will these actions translate into real life engagement? Will the attendance at conferences and workshops be a true reflection of their enthusiasm online? Will Christian parents take on the responsibility of Internet control and free their children from the copious amounts of activities—and help reintegrate their children into the church community?

Plenty of thoughts swimming in my head, but I think! Therefore I have a topic for my paper now... :)
