seasons of change

So this is what it looks like, the reality of change; of being left cold behind in winter whilst the others move into spring. Winter is blistering and lonely until one is invited into the warmth of another's home; a fireplace crackling and encouraging words and jokes a-crackin'. Then until the snow would melt upon itself and spring is ushered in with pomp and splendid blossoms and bouquets circumventing gardens of life, some may continue their frosty reverie in the southern poles of miles of barren land, and never to meet no spring in their step.
